GLOUCESTER, Va. -- Searching, but not getting answers – that is the plight Michelle Rocheleau continues to face one month after her daughter, Ashley Cerasole, went missing.
"She loved everybody; she was very loving, she was very complimentative,” Rocheleau described Cerasole. “She loved to sing; she'd sing you a song. She loved Jesus."
Cerasole went missing on Dec. 3.
"I have been through every possible feeling you could imagine,” Rocheleau said. “Fear, anger, sadness, sorrow, panic."
Earlier that day, Rocheleau said Cerasole called her saying she wished she could give her a hug for Christmas. That was the last time she heard from her.
"I've always had to work with her and care for her,” Rocheleau said. “We're very, very close. We've always been together."
Cerasole’s last known whereabouts were along Main Street in Gloucester. A security camera belonging to a local real estate office captured the moment she was walking by.
The footage showed her walking south on Main Street around 3:30 p.m. The date and time were visible on the footage.
"She's walking on a major road; someone could have just picked her up,” Rocheleau said. "She could be anywhere."
She added anyone with tips regarding Ashley can contact the Gloucester County Sheriff's Office. They are the lead agency investigating. News 3 reached out to the sheriff's office for information on the search but have not heard back.
Flyers have been shared online, and missing persons signs have been placed throughout the town. Neighbors and other residents have also reached out to help, and Rocheleau said she is not giving up.
"We love you; we want you home. We need to know where you are,” Rocheleau said.
